In August of 2006, we learned that over 2 million children are sold in the global child sex trade each year.  As high school students, we felt our peers around the world deserved to be treated with dignity and respect.  In a language of Ecuador, "minga" means "the coming together of a community for the betterment of all."  Minga works to educate and empower youth to take action against the child sex trade.  We believe that by building a movement of young leaders we can prevent our generation from becoming future victims or abusers.

In 2008, we launched Minga's Let's Get Real Campaign, an initiative to motivate 2 million youth to take meaningful actions.  Minga's Let's Get Real Campaign has three main programs: Minga's Speaking Program, Minga's Club Program, and Minga's PSA Campaign.  Each strives to inpire youth to leverage social change by taking action with Minga.
