If you’re a high school, college, or graduate student in the Boston area who wants hands-on experience with a rapidly expanding nonprofit, intern with Minga! We are looking for creative, and passionate youth to join our team.
Part time with flexible hours (5 to 20 hours per week)
Plan out an individualized internship experience with our team.
Internships are unpaid, but we’ll cover transportation costs.
You’ll work with some of the core young people that make up Minga—and these people are COOL.
It’s a self-designed internship, so you’ll have the opportunity to integrate your own knowledge and experiences into our programs. We like new ideas, so we’re game for listening to yours.
Position Available: Assistant Campaign Director
Minga is a completely youth-run nonprofit working to end the child sex trade. We do grassroots awareness-raising to encourage youth to make their voices heard in the fight against the child sex trade. We are a group of energetic young people, and we are looking for energetic and passionate people to join our team, and our movement.
Responsibilities:
You will be assisting Rebecca, helping to run Minga’s primary campaign. The first campaign will use Public Service Announcements, produced with partnerships with celebrities, in innovative ways to engage youth in the fight against the child sex trade. The Assistant Campaign Director will be involved in all parts of the campaign, as detailed below.
This is a full-time (30-40 hours/wk).

You’ll have the opportunity to develop a marketing plan for Minga’s newest campaign, design marketing materials, research marketing strategies, and implement guerrilla marketing techniques. Don’t know how to do all of that? We’ll teach you.

You’ll have the opportunity to contact media partners, write press releases, research media opportunities, respond to questions from the media, and coordinate interviews. By the end of this internship, you will have a firm understanding of press relations and will have developed excellent writing and researching skills.
